Antioxidant Boosting Turmeric Mango Smoothie

Related to ginger, turmeric is most well known as a spice commonly used in Indian cuisine. Aside from that, turmeric has been used for thousands of years for its extraordinary healing benefits including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antiviral activities.  It aids the stomach, boosts liver detox, provides relief for rheumatoid arthritis, helps cystic fibrosis sufferers and has even been used in treating depression.  What can I say… this superfood spice is pretty amazing!  Try starting your day with a few pinches of turmeric in this sweet, flavorful, and nutrient packed smoothie.

Antioxidant Boosting Turmeric Mango Smoothie Recipe


  • 1 cup almond, hemp, or coconut milk
  • ¾ cup fresh or frozen mango chunks
  • ½ fresh banana
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

Combine ingredients in a blender, and process until smooth.  Enjoy!
